Securus Expects to Win Over $100 Million of New Business in 2017, Almost Double Its Previous High of $53 Million in 2016

Superior Technology, Lowest Incarcerated Individual Rates, Broadest Product Set, and Best Customer Service Allows Securus to Take Substantial Market Share

DALLAS, TX June 5, 2017/Business Wire/ — Securus Technologies, a leading provider of civil and criminal justice technology solutions for public safety, investigation, corrections and monitoring, announced today that it had set a new record in the industry by selling $67 million of new contracts in the law enforcement and corrections sector, and had exceeded its full year budget of $65 million. “We are humbled that wardens, DOC heads, jailers, IT professionals, sheriffs, jail administrators, and local/county/state councils have granted us the privilege of serving them. Securus, JPay, Guarded Exchange, STOP, Archonix, Cara Clinicals, CellBlox, Telerus, Direct Hit, Primonics, JLG Technologies, Pamet, and PHD Medical have been awarded contracts at the highest rate in our history,” stated Richard A. (“Rick”) Smith, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Securus Technologies. “Through the first five (5) months of 2017, we were awarded $67 million of annualized revenue for law enforcement and corrections contracts and that exceeded our full twelve (12) month budget in only five (5) months,” stated Smith. “The ‘win rate,’ or the percentage of the time that Securus has won competitive contracts is provided here: Securus Win Rate:
Incarcerated Individual Telecom 78%
JPay 100%
STOP 94%
Public Safety 63%
Total Weighted +90%
“This means that in total, Securus and its subsidiaries have won over 90% on a revenue weighted basis of new business offered in Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other competitive bidding processes,” said Smith. “Competitors find it difficult to match what we have created here – superior technology, lowest Incarcerated Individual rates, broadest product set, highest commissions, and the best overall customer service. That is a difficult set of attributes to compete against – and our new win and win percentage metrics support the good decisions that government officials make when they choose Securus,” concluded Smith.
