Securus Technologies Raises Company Record Contributions for the United Way
Securus achieves 10 consecutive years of growth in total contributions year over year
DALLAS, TX February 22, 2018/Business Wire/ — Securus Technologies, a leading provider of technology-enabled solutions for public safety, law enforcement, investigations, corrections and government payment services today announced that it has surpassed its 2017 goal for its ambitious United Way fundraising campaign by 10 percent. Through the generosity of nearly 900 associates, the campaign raised more than half a million dollars. Securus Technologies has partnered with the United Way for 10 years and has contributed more than $2.275 million to this well-respected charity. “United Way of Metropolitan Dallas is incredibly grateful to Securus Technologies for its generous support of programs creating opportunities for quality education, secure jobs and better health for all North Texans,” said Jennifer Sampson, McDermott-Templeton President and CEO, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. “Securus’ record-breaking campaign growth is a testament to the shared commitment of the company’s leadership and associates to making our community a better place to live, work and raise families.” Associates designated their donations to 250 of their favorite United Way Agencies and local initiatives across the country. Over 96 percent of the management team contributed this year with 291 associates giving at the United Way Leadership Level. This was 16 percent higher than last year’s Leadership participation level. Securus’ charitable giving campaign harnesses its people, expertise and partnerships to create a positive impact in the communities it serves. Securus associates are encouraged to tap into their passions and support the charities of their choice. In 2017, associates supported dozens of charitable organizations across the country from donating to United Way to helping hurricane ravaged communities to donating to local toy drives. Year after year, Securus associates continue to donate in record numbers.
